We all long to belong, to be accepted, to be content and know who we are and why we are here. These are the realities that build or breakdown our sense of identity and self-worth. However, when we get caught up in basing our identity around perishable things -such as labels, weight, health, wealth, career, job, housing, transport and relationships – we end up acting like immature Christians. Wisdom stands on the corner of the street and shouts to us “You belong to Christ – get your identity on that alone”. The Bible describes this type of wisdom as building on the right foundation and using materials such as gold, silver and jewels. In this message we hear what type of materials those are?
